On October 24, Tandem Vietnam’s Quy Nhon team officially attended the "Conference on implementing solutions to develop logistics services in Gia Lai province", marking a turning point in the development and expansion of our logistics service network in this area.

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province, attracting the attention of more than 300 delegates, leaders of departments, associations, and enterprises.

At the forum, Tandem Vietnam had the opportunity to better grasp the current state of logistics in the region, listen to experts’ exchange and discussion, and thereby apply the operation policies for the enterprise, contributing to the development of logistics solutions implemented in Gia Lai province.

In general, Gia Lai has a lot of development potential for the country's social and economic activities, especially in the field of processing industry with many production farms, the agricultural sector with main sources of agricultural products such as coffee, rubber, sugarcane, sugar, tea, cassava, fruits, etc.

In addition, Gia Lai has important traffic nodes to connect with inland ports (ICD), seaports, airports, and border gates in the province and region. However, logistics activities in the region are still small and have not been fully exploited. It is necessary to expand the scale, train local human resources, and develop a logistics system to leverage trade, service and export.

Participating at the conference, we advise and introduce all types of package transportation, optimal logistics solutions, and reasonable costs for partners and event customers. We have successfully implemented many diverse routes through Gia Lai province and surrounding areas, serving domestic and international projects.

Tandem Global Logistics Vietnam visited and worked at Gemalink Port

On October 31, Tandem Global Logistics Vietnam visited and worked at Gemalink, the largest deep-water "super port" in the Southern region. The trip helped us survey the current situation at the port yard, consider implementing a new project, packing complete cars from Cai Mep, Vung Tau to the Middle East.

Gemalink port has a strategic location in the international maritime route, right at Cai Mep - Thi Vai estuary, which is the top cargo transshipment point in Southeast Asia, can connect with ports in the Middle East, convenient for mother vessels to dock in and out of the port.

At the same time, Gemalink is one of the top 19 commercial ports in the world, capable of receiving the largest container vessel size today, up to 250,000 DWT. The port has a water draft of 16.5 m deep, a specialized wharf for feeders connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, and a loading and unloading capacity of 3 million teu/year.

This is especially important in the transportation of types of specific goods such as complete cars, requiring transshipment ports to have enough capacity to operate specialized vessels with large tonnage.

During this field trip, Tandem Vietnam had an opportunity to understand smart utilities and modern infrastructure at the port, witnessing large tonnage vessels coming in and out to handle cargo. We directly discussed with port staff about the process of transporting, loading, unloading, and packing cars, thereby considering incorporating operating mechanisms for new projects.

We not only affirm our leading position in the automotive market by meeting optimal performance in terms of time and cost, but also contribute to promoting the development of logistics activities, quickly connecting domestic and international routes of Vietnam.
