Joep Stijns will be enjoying his well deserved Retirement!

Various colleagues had flown in from overseas to join Joep Stijns' retirement party (David & Steven Powell and Ted van den Eijkhoff from The USA, Totu Tayama & Takayoshi Nagato from Japan, Frank Rottmann-Simon & Oliver Thormaehlen from Germany, Keith Smith from Great Britain and Patrick Kuster from Belgium) and to celebrate the establishment of our new organization in The Netherlands. Dozens of former and current co-workers, service providers, family and friends joined us at cafe "Hoppe", in Joep's home town Schiedam. Joep’s successor Raymond van der Veld opened the evening by welcoming everyone and by presenting him with the first gift, on behalf of Tandem Smart Global Logistics Netherlands B.V.. After everyone had enjoyed a delicious dinner, Tandem Global Logistics Network ED Frits Schouffoer thanked Joep for having played such an important role as one of the founding Members of our Cooperative, back in 2007, and his commitment and contribution as Board & EB Member. On behalf of the network, we presented Joep with a special award with inscription “Thanks Joep, for 17 Years of Great Cooperation! - TGLN” (picture below). David Powell and Ted van den Eijkhof, who have had the pleasure to work with Joep since their Damco days, also delivered impressive speeches. Joep concluded the evening by thanking everyone. He stated that he enjoyed his time with Tandem and he extended his best wishes to everyone for the future!
