Tandem Vietnam (Headway JSC) accompanies the flights connecting Vietnamese enterprises’ export hope in 2023

According to statistics in the first quarter of 2023, Tandem Vietnam has transported sample shipments by air with a total output of 9,333 tons, connecting the export hope of Vietnamese enterprises to reach out to the international market.

In March 2023, Tandem Vietnam received banana shipments transported by reefer container trucks, provided CO, Phyto document services, customs clearance, and transported from Hoa Lu depot, Binh Phuoc to Cat Lai port, Ho Chi Minh City. After the customer finished packing the goods by themselves and the vehicle was on its way to Hoa Lu yard, Tandem Vietnam discovered that the reefer container had an inoperable propeller problem and quickly handled it for the customer.

Through exchange and inspection with the shipping line, Tandem Vietnam came up with the optimal solution to transfer the goods, coordinate with the refrigerating technicians of the shipping line to repair, check and unload overnight at 4 o'clock. In the morning, the shipment can be fixed in time and ensure the safety of the quality of goods stored inside the container.

For seafood and fruit products, which are perishable items, it requires a highly professional transport unit, with a thorough operating and monitoring mechanism throughout the supply chain, handling situations flexibly, urgently solving problems arising related to reefer containers such as temperature, ventilation, propellers, electrical circuit fires, component replacement, recharge of the refrigeration system, etc.

Tandem Vietnam (Headway JSC) testing container NOR (Non Operating Reefer) packing imported auto parts

In April 2023, Tandem Vietnam provided customers with services of booking, emptying, unloading containers, transporting ships, testing by NOR containers (NON OPERATING REEFER) to pack goods, auto spare parts, and assembling complete trucks, successfully importing shipments from Kwangyang port, Korea to Chu Lai port, Vietnam, helping customers and shipping lines optimize transportation costs by 20%.

Currently, Vietnam is one of the countries with the leading export rate of agricultural and aquatic products in the world, including outstanding products such as rice, dragon fruit, durian, shrimp, tuna.,…

In addition, due to specific commercial needs, especially for the frozen goods industry, which requires packing and transporting by reefer containers, the shortage of reefer containers for the export leg is still ongoing.

Actual situation:

• Vietnamese enterprises export agricultural and aquatic products to the international market, customers need empty reefer containers to pack goods.
• Refrigerated containers after being transported to the destination port, the demand for refrigerated goods in the opposite direction is not enough, leading to an excess of reefer containers.
• Importing enterprises wishing to transport goods by dry containers or reefer containers can consider packing by NOR containers.

As the above situation, in order to have reefer containers to pack goods for export to other countries, transport ships must have two times of transporting containers to Vietnam, once to carry the goods out and once to carry the empty containers back, increasing transport fees.
