Following the successful voyage of the dedicated Roll-on/Roll-off (Roro) vessel departing from Central Vietnam, Tandem Vietnam continues to demonstrate its international operational capabilities by coordinating with NYK to successfully manage the vessel’s arrival and cargo discharge operations at Laem Chabang Port, Thailand. This milestone marks the successful completion of the ocean logistics chain for the bus shipment, ensuring a smooth and reliable delivery for the customer.
To ensure the entire delivery and handling process was carried out smoothly and in compliance with the stringent requirements of the automotive logistics supply chain, Tandem Vietnam’s professionals were directly on site in Thailand, monitoring every stage of the shipment.
Strengthening Partnerships and Aligning Operations at the NYK Laem Chabang Office
Prior to the vessel’s arrival at the port, representatives from Tandem Vietnam held a working session with representatives of NYK at the carrier’s Laem Chabang branch office. During the meeting, both parties thoroughly reviewed the shipping documentation and discussed the operational plan and unloading schedule in detail. Continuous and transparent information exchange between Tandem Vietnam and NYK played a key role in optimizing operational timelines and mitigating potential risks at the destination port.
Monitoring Progress and Coordinating Operations at the Terminal
The Tandem Vietnam team was present at the terminal area of Laem Chabang Port to observe the actual operations and monitor the progress. The team proactively coordinated with the terminal operations team to stay updated on the receiving plan, vehicle staging area and vehicle movement flow.
Overseeing the Vehicle Unloading Process at the Port
The discharge of vehicles from a RoRo vessel requires careful handling and close coordination. As soon as the unloading operation commenced, representatives from Tandem Vietnam and NYK were on site to oversee the operation. Each bus was safely driven from the RoRo vessel’s vehicle deck to the terminal yard by professional drivers. Tandem Vietnam’s presence at this stage enabled the team to directly observe the operation and document the condition of the vehicles following the long sea voyage, providing the customer with complete visibility and assurance throughout the delivery process.
Successfully Completing the Vehicle Delivery Operation
Meeting the stringent requirements of Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) transportation operations, the bus shipment was safely transferred to the designated staging area, successfully completing the delivery operation in Thailand.
