Cargo flow increased by 16.6% between China and Europe

The railway administrations of Kazakhstan and China have signed an agreement in Beijing to increase cargo flows on the China-Europe route. According to the results of 2016, the volume of container shipments from China to Europe amounted to 104,500 teu, which is twice as much as in 2015. By 2020, the plan is to increase the volume of container traffic to 800,000 teu. Last year the volume between Kazakhastan and China was over 8 million t of cargo, which is 16.6% more than in 2015.
