Tandem Germany's new logistics hub to open in August

Tandem Global Logistics Germany (The Rieck Logistics Group) is investing around EUR 26 million in a new freight forwarding facility in north-west Berlin. The construction of the new terminal is already in full swing and the first concrete columns are currently being erected.
The new facility is scheduled to go into operation in August 2022. The new Rieck terminal will have 23,000 sqm of usable space. Around half of the space is earmarked for consignment handling, 8,000 sqm for storage and 3,000 sqm for offices.
103 loading and unloading gates will ensure the smooth entry and exit of goods. A solar roof will produce green electricity, charging points for e-vehicles underline the sustainability claim. (ben)
