Tandem Italy (Iscotrans) delivered offshore crane to Las Palmas

A recent time-critical charter operation has been successfully completed by our colleagues in Italy, involving the transport of an offshore crane from Rotterdam to Las Palmas, with final delivery executed via double banking onto an offshore pipe lay and heavy lift vessel.
The crane, measuring approximately 27.5 x 6.5 x 13.0 meters and weighing 90 metric tons, had a total volume of 2,323.75 cubic meters. The operation was carried out on a “last in, first out” basis, requiring precise planning and execution under tight time constraints. The final transfer was performed offshore through a double banking maneuver, where the transport vessel moored alongside the offshore unit, enabling direct crane transfer without port docking. This complex procedure demanded synchronized coordination between operational teams, vessel crews, and commanders of both units to ensure maximum safety and efficiency. A dedicated safety coordination protocol was implemented throughout the operation, ensuring compliance with offshore transfer standards and minimizing risk during the double banking phase. This project highlights once again the team's ability to deliver tailored logistics solutions under demanding conditions, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in industrial and offshore transport.
