Tandem Spain donates to help earthquake victims Turkey and Syria

On Tuesday, February 7th, Tandem Global Logistics Spain (Tracosa) donated 3,000 Euros to the Spanish Red Cross to assist the population affected by the great earthquake in Syria and Turkey. Last Monday, a wave of large-magnitude earthquakes shook both countries, leaving thousands of fatalities, as is sadly known. 

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian network. The IFCR supports the local action of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in more than 192 countries, bringing together nearly 15 million volunteers for the good of humanity. The Turkish Red Crescent is responding from the very beginning, mobilizing its teams in 10 provinces of Turkey, in support of the emergency services of the Turkish government, which has requested international assistance. Collaboration to support rescue and care tasks for affected people with health care, psychosocial care, shelter, coverage of basic needs, etc. Rubén Cano, Head of the Turkish Red Crescent delegation, declared today to the media about the actions being carried out as a result of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria: Some 150,000 people are homeless, so we provide them with tents campaign, blankets and basic necessities.

In the words of Marco A. García, CEO of Tracosa on the contribution to the Red Cross: "As a company, the least we can do is lend a hand." From Tracosa we want to show our deepest condolences for the loss of loved ones, our thoughts are with Syria and Turkish people and we wish a speedy reconstruction and recovery of both countries that are suffering so terribly.
